Cook's Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all health and safety guidelines.
  • Assist in menu planning and developing new recipes.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering ingredients and supplies as needed.
  • Ensure all food preparation and presentation is of high quality and meets the restaurant’s standards.
  • Work efficiently to ensure all meals are prepared in a timely manner, especially during busy service hours.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to maintain a smooth workflow and effective communication.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school training is a plus.
  • 3 or more years of professional cooking experience in a restaurant or similar environment.
  • Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Passion for food and a strong desire to learn and grow as a culinary professional.
